Historic Virginia Beach Picture Collection Now On The Internet

Virginia Beach Photography Studio Expands Selection of Vintage Scenes

If you dine out, go to a doctors office, visit an area hospital or other public buildings, you've probably seen those pic's of our historic city, and may have wondered where they came from. There is one local business that has a large collection available to the public.

Since 1993 Virginia Images Photography has specialized ( as the name implies) in documenting the Commonwealth. The collection comprises street scenes, landmarks, popular places and aerial photographs. Some show the boardwalk and beach-goers, other depict construction of landmarks, hotels and even Mt. Trashmore. This 1901 "Bathing Beauties" shows the swimwear of the day - and the collection continues into modern day images.

Some of the most sought after pictures are those of the Oceanfront, Lynnhaven Inlet and Sandbridge. VIP has that covered, and so much more. If you want to see Cape Henry for instance, there are more than a dozen images that document the lighthouses from the very beginning. Click here to see a circa 1900 photograph as new Cape Henry Lighthouse was under construction.

If you are looking for photographs for your home, office or commercial decorating project, you should go to the source that has the most to offer. Pictures in any size, framed any way you want them. On Canvas, Gallery Wraps, large wall murals or even wallpaper or fabric printed with mphotographs, Virginia Images Photography has what you are looking for.

Visit the studio at showroom located at 847 Seahawk Circle Suite 101, Virginia Beach VA 23452
Located just east of Lynnhaven Mall, off International Parkway.  Phone 757 425 3110 for showroom hours.
